  1. Montony
An online tutor will often experience, after several tutoring sessions with a student, that montony can sometimes set in. To avoid this, it is always wise to set a routine learning schedule. Let your students know about the next class so that they have something to look forward to. You should aim to hold at least 3-4 classes per week. Anything less and your students ability to retain and recall past lessons will greatly diminish.
  2. Setting High Standards and Expectations
Be disciplined with your time and make sure that you set an agenda for what you want to accomplish. Keep your students on their toes. Let your students know about your expectations about their performance. Set tests and reviews at regular intervals.
  3. Give Honest Assessment and Feed back to Your Students
Giving an honest assessment of your students learning progress can greatly motivate a them to want to learn and to perform better. It also provides valuable feedback for the online English tutor; both for evaluating a students progress, as well as a guide for which to prepare future lessons that are geared to meeting the students learning needs.
